This course will explore the benefits and risks for Patrol Officers and Detectives dealing with police informants.

We will cover informant development techniques for use:

• on patrol and/or as a detective,
• the proper gathering, use and documentation of information provided by informants,
• and how to use that to assist and further your investigation.

You will learn all of this while weighing the risks of reliability, safety, and ethical concerns.
