The mid-level supervisor is an integral position in any agency, acting as the conduit between the agency administration and the rank and file. This class is specifically developed around the mid-level manager’s position focusing on areas such as:

  • project planning and mission oriented leadership
  • managing up and down the chain of command
  • leadership during critical incidents, time management
  • delegation
  • subordinate engagement
  • motivating employees
  • focusing on the mission of the agency

Students will participate in group discussions and practical exercises to engage in critical thinking where they will utilize their leadership skills to problem solve.
