Each Recruit shall have the following equipment in order to participate in the Law Enforcement training program administered at the Ocean County Police Academy.

- (1) padded head guard suitable for MMA
- (1) mouth guard
- (1) set of athletic footwear other than their outside PT footwear (wrestling shoes, sneakers, training footwear acceptable…NO BOOTS ARE ALLOWED ON MATS)

Firearms Equipment & Supplies:
- (1) Department Issued Service Weapon with 3 Magazines
- (1500) Rounds of New Factory Loaded Practice Ammunition (Must meet Definition of Equivalent Load)
- (12) S.T. Pro Action Pistol Dummy Rounds or equivalent (Appropriate Caliber)
- Must have Metal Case with plastic tip
- (1) Pair of Firearms hearing protection
- (1) Pair of wrap around eye protection

NOTE: DUTY BELT, HOLSTER, MAGAZINE POUCH AND BLUE GUN MUST BE AVAILABLE ON 1st DAY OF CLASS. ALL OTHER FIREARMS RELATED EQUIPMENT MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION 4-6 WEEKS PRIOR TO FIREARMS TRAINING.
