This course will provide officers with an overview of critical phrases they need know to effectively communicate with Spanish speaking members of their community.

Effective communication is critical for law enforcement and an inability to communicate can have dire results. As law enforcement officers we routinely interact with diverse groups of individuals, and we need the ability to communicate with them. The course is designed to teach officers basic communication skills during common police-citizen encounters with Spanish speaking individuals.

This is not a “Death by PowerPoint” course. Participants will be interacting with the instructor throughout the course and learn common Spanish phrase and learn proper responses by engaging with the instructor. The best way to learn is by doing it!
