Every critical incident begins with a call—and the response is only as effective as the telecommunicator managing it. As the first voice in an emergency and the central point of coordination, Public Safety Telecommunicators (PSTs) play a pivotal role in determining the outcome of high-stakes events.

This course provides PSTs with the tools and strategies needed to take control of chaotic, fast-moving situations. Students will develop the ability to quickly gather and analyze information, prioritize competing demands, and deploy resources with precision and confidence.

Focused on real-world application, the training covers a spectrum of critical incidents, including active shooter scenarios, multi-agency responses, and severe weather emergencies. Participants will also strengthen their decision-making, communication, and resource management skills under pressure.

By the end of this course, PSTs will be better prepared to manage the complexity of critical incidents—enhancing responder safety, improving coordination, and ultimately helping to save lives.
