PRE-REQUISITE: ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE CERTIFIED RADAR OPERATORS FOR TWO YEARS 

This three-day course will provide the sending agency with a certified instructor in Police Traffic Radar Operations, who will then be able to certify and re-certify radar operators at the department level.  This program provides the student with the fundamental knowledge from which to conduct police traffic radar operator courses.

Topics include:

• basic concepts of stationary, moving, and same-direction moving radar;
• general fundamentals of practical radar operation;
• device testing requirements;
• and legal aspects of radar operation.

This course is designed to deliver accurate and comprehensive speed enforcement training for instructors throughout New Jersey based upon case law and the Doppler principle.
