This class will provide a foundation of financial crimes investigative methods and trends utilized to engage in the crimes of theft by:
- deception,
- embezzlement,
- counterfeit checks,
- credit card fraud,
- identity theft,
- elder fraud,
- contractor fraud,
- cryptocurrency,
- and money laundering.
This class is geared toward both patrol officers and detectives. During the class, case studies and hands-on practical exercises will be presented to ensure law enforcement professionals understand the proper application of both statutes and investigative methods.
