DESCRIPTION:THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO OCEAN COUNTY DEPARTMENTS ONLY. COURSE IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 18. \n**OUT-OF-COUNTY AGENCY REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.**\nThis New Jersey Police Training Commission approved course is designed for Officers who plan to teach at Police Schools and/or their respective Departments. Topics include selecting appropriate teaching methods\, establishing goals and performance objectives and constructing lesson plans. An overview of the principles of learning\, classroom management and the selection and use of training aids will also be discussed. In addition\, students will learn to formulate questions and to evaluate progress. \nEach student is required to plan and present to the class two lessons on Police Related Topics: \n\nOne 10 Minute Presentation\nOne 20 Minute Presentation with required use of Training Aids\n\nThe student\, instructors and class members will evaluate the presentations. \nThis is a Police Training Commission certified course and only those that are serious about instructing should attend. Absenteeism and/or neglect of homework assignments are some of the reasons that a certification will not be awarded. Business attire will be the uniform dress code – no exceptions. \nCLASS WILL BEGIN AT 8AM DAILY.
